Spring Madness Part 2!

Well, Spring is behind us, and my few months of madness has passed. No wait, who am I kidding? Summer is looking like it's going to be almost as busy as Spring. So much has come to life, ideas, plans, and new Spryte-types. There have been two new types of babies, Sprytletts large and small, the Wylde Ones made a return, and the Spryte Folk have a new body type, which still is yet to be revealed! I have made massive gremlins, wrote stories, and attended lots of fairs. It has been wondeful to meet with so many of you! I cannot wait to see what summer has in store! <3

Spring Madness Part I - GREMLINS

Woah, Spring has brought so many plans and ideas to life! Lot's of things I was daydreaming of making, ideas that only came together once in fabric, and Sprytes long in planning. As you know, I have been wanting to create large gremins for a while now, and have mentioned it over the last few months. It took a while fiddling, and working out exactly *how* big I wanted them to be. I used my printer to scale my pattern pieces, which felt like quite an upgrade from doing it by hand! I started making them just under twice as big, (if that makes sense) thinking that would be big enough. You couldn't really tell the difference though, so with the next enlargement, I may of gone slightly overboard... This guy is about 5cm taller than the original Gremlins So, the next one was made up TWO AND A HALF TIMES AS BIG! The pattern pieces creeped out my partners kids, so I knew I was onto a winner. :D Even before she was finished, I knew. THIS was the one. ...

The Wylde Ones are back...

A few months ago I mentioned I wanted to start making Wylde Ones again. I have been tweaking with patterns (again!) and decided to make them slightly smaller than their village-folk cousins, as they need to be small enough to sleep in birds nests, and rabbit holes, and who knows what else! It also means I can spend more time on all their details. The first three to introuduce themselves were Sylvie, a Cow Parsely Spryte, Dillenius, a Mushroom Discoverer, and Aldwyn, A Spryte who encourages acorns to grow. I am really pleased with them, and have so many ideas! I would love to hear any ideas you have as well! Who would you like to see brought to life?
