A few new friends!

It's been a little while since I last updated you all, I have been very busy getting ready for fairs, creating lots of new creatures, working on stories, and my laptop died a rainy death, so I haven't really had computer access....

More on that later, but for now, let me introduce some of our new friends.

(The Tea Party Ruckies all got a new makeover, too!) I dyed a bunch of fabrics in coffee and tumeric, it came out the most stunning mustard colour, and Camilla demanded a new dress made from it. Once the other Tea Party Friends saw it, they all wanted it, such is a Spryte's fickleness!

This beautiful boy is Elliot - inpsired by mint tea, and you can read his story here. As you can see, he acquired a new jacket, stolen from Albert, socks and shoes, and a scarf! It's chilly gardening out there!

This is daydreaming Camilla, inspired by Chamomile tea. She's wearing an applique bodice with ragged skirt dress, hand dyed socks (also stolen from Albie, poor boy!) and a tartan scarf. Her flower headdress is made from real chamomile flowers.

The sweetest face!

Lottie is a bit of an eccentric, and loves making clothes. Her scarf and dress have all been hand dyed, and underneath her dress are crazy lace bloomers!

Sara is a baker, and regularly brings cakes and biscuits to the tea parties. Her trousers are hand dyed silk.

Oh, Albie. I must admit I have a soft spot for Albert. Just look at that face! Albert loves to paint, and ends up dipping his paintbrush in his tea! He likes the colouring it adds, though. He has a silk shirt, cashmere sweater, muslin shorts and a tartan scarf. Plus his school boy hat, of course.

This is Mariella, who I met the other day riding on the back of a squirrel!! When I wasked her what she was doing, she replied that squirrel-back is the ONLY way a Spryte should travel, and gave me a very quizzical look. She then whistled a tune, a squirrel appeared and she was off!

Taon loves bees, and dresses like one in the hope they'll adopt her. The bees themselves think she's a funny old thing, and entertain her, sitting with her, chatting in the funny buzzy voice. The baby bumble bees love her, and follow her everywhere!

Mandy is a woodland witch, looking after all the woodland creatures that share the woodlands where she lives. Lady, the Fox shares her home, and she spends the night running all about the woods finding animals in need. She either takes them back to Mandy where they are nursed back to health, or she takes Mandy to them instead.

These are the last three Sprytlings left! So many found homes this autumn. That's bramble in the middle, who may stay with us.

And this is Blackthorn! A wild one finally blessed me with their presence. As a spodling, Blackthorn was left in a Ravens nest, and, as Spodlings and Sprytlings take on the characteristics of their environment, he grew up a little... different. He loves his Raven family, and is very conscious he doesn't look like them, so one day the Ravens suprised him with tonnes of black scraps and trims stolen from humans! He sewed them as best as he could into an outfit for himself.

This is Morey, the Bone Queen, as she is called by the Ruckies. She is a special Spryte indeed. When it is a Sprytes time to pass over, and go to rest, the Bone Queen makes sure they have a safe passage. All her bones have been found in the woods near our home.

Mabon is a hedgewitch, who supplies medicine and tonics for the poorly, as well as caring for the creatures of the hedgerow. Can you see a mouse sleeping in her pocket?

Mook is another Wild One, and has the most stunning colouring! He is very hard not to smother in kisses. (Mainly because he wont stay still long enough...)
Mook loves chasing butterflies, racing through flower meadows, scrambling and hopping up and across the flowers! In the autumn he will chase the leaves, reluctantly, but hey, you need something to chase !

Well, it was a brief introduction, but I hoped you enjoyed meeting the new Sprytes in the wood.
I hope to type up more stories, and get a new beautiful website up and running soon! Santa is bringing me a new laptop, so I'll be able to keep you all updated much easier soon.

Much love,
Victoria.
